ABSTRACT

Chapter 5 discusses four frameworks used to illustrate where and how things fit together. The generic 2x2 format table is basically a four-area table used to show the relationship between four different items. The chapter uses an example of the 2x2 table to present a theory that could explain why some people are homosexual and others are heterosexual based on the observation that bodies can be male or female and the inference from the Generic perspective that souls can also be male and female. The Hitchins-Kasser-Massie Framework (HKMF) is a framework for understanding the activities performed in systems engineering and project management and is also useful in finding out-of-the-box solutions by looking into the other areas of the framework (boxes). The Problem Classification Framework classifies problems by their structure and the degree of subjective complexity (difficulty). Lastly, the Risk Rectangle, a framework for identifying which risks to manage is discussed, and the chapter provides an example of how you can use the Risk Rectangle to set up an objective decision-making rule for deciding if you should or should not purchase a particular option when playing with the stock market.
