ABSTRACT

This chapter examines the various documents along with the interrelationships and learn how to use the project's Work Breakdown Structure to ensure that they remain in alignment with the Work Management System over the life of the project. The Quality Management System established onsite for the construction work is designed to implement the Projects Quality Plan objectives through the use of various documents so that the deliverables produced meet the quality standards specified in the contract. The document and drawing information is critical and must be correct for the work being performed. The chapter discusses the Quality Management System's final output is the Erection completion certificate (ECC)—Erection Completion Certificate—for each of the systems being erected onsite. The main objective of the Quality System onsite is to ensure that the quality of each deliverable is as per the contractual and customer requirements at the time of completion, which is what the ECC confirms.
