ABSTRACT
The Commercial Manager, the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and the Project Manager, Bob, were all present in the Senior Vice President of Construction's office as the Project Sponsor opened the package and read the award letter to the Retirement Community Beta Project Team. The Project Manager, Bob, was greeted by the Program Manager for 50+ for All Seasons, who had conducted the bid meeting, when he and the Comet Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Construction Project team arrived for the project kick-off meeting. The complexity was not something that the Project and Engineering Managers felt could not be managed, provided that the project was properly aligned with a strong degree of governance at each level, but it would involve breaking the project up into a group of "mini-projects." The Project Manager had experience working on large, complex construction projects for another company, which he explained to the Engineering Manager.
