ABSTRACT
Hotcakes is the selective compound or union of a number of component one-cake games. In a union of games there may be several hot components, in which the players want to move, and some cold ones, in which they don't. This chapter shows the left and right tallies for Hotcakes. Coolcakes is another eating game. It is the selective version of Eatcakes. A union of games may be played with the additional rule that it finishes as soon as its first component does. The winner of that component is then the winner of the whole game, in either normal or misere play. "Some of the King's Horses, First Off Wins" is a very playable game. Since it is a severed selective horse game we simply called it Falada. The game is plainly a union of component one-horse games, and it is a normal play urgent union because the winner of the soonest finishing component wins all.
