ABSTRACT

The idea of business process reengineering was originally introduced in the late 1990s by Michael Hammer in a Harvard Business Review article, and several years later, he received an outstanding acknowledgement when he and James Champy issued their chart-topping book called Reengineering the Corporation. The authors encourage the idea of redesigning as it is essential to lower the costs and intensify the quality of service and that information technology (IT) is the solution for that main transformation.

This study is based on research made by a group of eight members and from the data that have been collected from journals. The study covers the details of the success of information technology-enabled business process reengineering in which our objective is to focus creating an organized booklet representing the profiles on the effects of changes on new working environments for employees to provide efficiency and time productivity on businesses. This study will discuss on the study and research of IT and business process reengineering, the methodology, and findings of the researches.
