ABSTRACT
The dynamic environmental loading on the cable induces dynamic mechanical stresses across the cross section of the dynamic cable.
These mechanical stresses are a new consideration in cable fatigue assessments, as traditional static cables used in fixed bottom platforms would not be exposed the dynamic environmental loadings.
