ABSTRACT
This chapter details the export procedure and documents related to export. Ini tially, the chapter explains details pertinent to how exporting is done. Then the payment terms and terms of delivery are discussed. The various international commercial terms used in exporting are highlighted with special reference to the delivery terms used in apparel export. The role of export credit guarantee corporation (ECGC) in averting credit risk is mentioned. The types of preship ment and postshipment finance obtained are detailed. The chapter discusses the export clearance formalities and all the documents used in export including commercial, auxiliary and internal documents.
