ABSTRACT
The Clean Air Act was and still is a fundamental promulgation regarding the emissions of hazardous and toxic waste in the atmosphere. Since its enactment, the abatement of air pollution, though slow-paced, has been markedly decreased with respect to industry growth. This chapter briefly describes the major points of the Clean Air Act and its amendments related to emissions and standards for hazardous and toxic wastes.
