ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the four programs of the act responsible for the management of the huge volume of municipal and industrial solid waste that is generated by our society. Specifically, it will provide the reader with a discussion on managing non-hazardous waste; on controlling, managing and tracking hazardous waste from the time it is generated until its ultimate disposal; on regulating underground storage tanks; and on managing, controlling, and tracking waste generated and used in the medical community.
