ABSTRACT
The control of tuberculosis (TB) remains a formidable task, particularly in developing countries with limited resources. Independent TB-control efforts may be taking place at various levels-national and local, public and private, medical and nonmedical. If these efforts are not coordinated there may be wastage of valuable resources. Organizing these fragmented, uncoordinated, and possibly conflicting movements appears to be crucial in achieving the ultimate objective of TB control.
