This chapter is not intended to provide detailed information about specific experimental procedures, but rather, describes basic techniques that are the foundation for more complex procedures.
It is critical that sheep and goats be properly restrained to ensure the safety of both the animal and the handler. The fleece or hair coat, ears, and tail should not be used to hold or restrain the animal.
