ABSTRACT

This chapter concentrates on problems related to human health, instead of the various other systems coexisting on Earth. The decay of the environment and the resultant effect on human health grows daily. The sun is shrouded by the smoke of industry and dwellings. Our eyes and respiratory system are irritated daily by air pollutants. Emphysema and lung cancer (as reported in March 2002,

Journal of the American Medical Association

) are increasing sharply. Our noses are offended by acrid, noxious doses of chemicals, and overflowing sewage. Our auditory system is damaged by the noise of traffic, industry, construction, and jet aircraft.
