ABSTRACT
Earlier, in Chapter 29 we introduced several important concepts relating to the power in an a.c. circuit. Throughout that chapter we assumed that the waveforms of current and voltage were purely sinusoidal, but this is often not the case. Now let's combine what we've just learned from the two previous chapters in order to determine the power and power factor when the applied waveform is complex rather than purely sinusoidal.
