For the project manager the priorities during the construction phase are:

to ensure the resolution of design queries as they arise in order that the client’s project is delivered to the required standards, and

to put systems in place to monitor the progress and cost of the works, as during the construction and site operations stages there is the potential for costs to escalate and programmed dates to slip.
