ABSTRACT
This chapter will discuss how IoT is transforming how we produce and consume energy. This is being called the 4th industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) enabled by data and communication technologies between people, services, and things.
This adds significant information data bits to manage the energy electrons in comparison to the previous 3 energy revolutions of steam engine, electricity for industrial production, and automation with programmable logic.
