ABSTRACT

This chapter presents challenges, characteristics, and best methods for enhancing implementation in smart airports. Airports are regarded as a gateway to any nation. Based on the report of US Homeland Security Presidential Directive 7, airports are considered as a sub-sector of the Transportation Systems Sector. Thereby, an airport represents an important infrastructure and it must be enhanced interms of surveillance (Lykou et al 2019). Active Electronically Scanned Array radar is a development of solid-state electronic device in which each and every module broadcasts its own independent signal. This system has a feature which is known as beam agility. With the help of this feature, the tracking could be done instantaneously for multiple targets for various azimuth angles. This chapter mainly focuses on the implementation of high-end machine learning that utilizes Support Vector Machine algorithm to detect the track, based on its classification.
