ABSTRACT

The model of organizational culture and the resulting typology of organizational cultures predominantly constitute a theoretical concept and require a more in-depth verification in empirical studies in the future. The role of organizational culture depends on an organization’s stage of development. The methods of implementing cultural changes that are based on alternative paradigms and the methods of shaping organizational culture are rooted in adopted fundamental cognitive assumptions, referred to as paradigms. Shaping organizational culture fulfills a particularly important function when organizations have to make changes quickly. Grounded theory is applied in management studies mainly to investigate organizational culture, organizational change and the work process. Organizational culture stimulates innovative activity in dynamic organizations that are socially oriented, externally oriented, performance-oriented, process-oriented and frequently communication-oriented. Organizational culture that facilitates innovative activities is a fundamental contributor to the creation of innovative solutions.
