This chapter presents DC wind generation system. A concept of an all-DC wind system is presented, and the components in the system are discussed. Different approach for converting output of a wind turbine to DC is discussed, and a new method with a 9-phase hybrid generator is proposed. This chapter also covers analyses of a 9-phase system with a multileg rectifier. System analyses in terms of load flow, voltage, and currents are also presented.
