ABSTRACT
The liver is the largest and vital organ and performs various physiological and metabolic functions in the body. Hepatotoxicity is generally applicable to liver damage caused by chemicals. Drug-induced liver injury is one of the causes of acute and chronic liver disease. This chapter gives in-depth information on hepatotoxic agents and their evaluation methods. Also it explained the evaluation of hepatoprotective activity and biochemical parameters estimated.
