Where to Place One’s Trust?

This chapter introduces the topic of when to trust science? It is a review of the excellent book entitled Why Trust Science? by Professor Naomi Oreskes. This book’s case studies show also how where particular issues come up, and the cases of politicians’ articulation of science are sometimes found to be untrustworthy; climate science is a key example.
