ABSTRACT
The selection and adoption of road cross sections is done based on the proposed level of service, requirements of land use, safety of road users and local people, availability of right of way, minimizing the tree cutting, and ensuring proper drainage provisions. The selection and adoption of road cross sections as described in this chapter must be done with all these considerations in mind, and also by following the relevant design standard.
