ABSTRACT
A few preliminary concepts should be illustrated before proceeding to the description of the prenatal diagnosis of cerebral arteriovenous malformations (CAVM). The first concept is that CAVM may be classified according to different variables: by the anatomic space in which they develop; by their type and architecture; by the age at which they become evident or symptomatic.
