ABSTRACT

This chapter begins with the description of analog circuit design. The single-stage amplifiers with common source, common gate, and common drain amplifiers are designed. The small signal equivalents of these single-stage amplifiers are designed and the gain of each stage is derived. Further, this chapter deals with current mirrors and their characteristics. A metal oxide semiconductors (MOS) based differential pair is designed that shows the high gain. A two-stage op-amp is also introduced that shows high gain and reliability. Finally, several analog-to-digital (ADC) and digital-to-analog (DAC) converter designs are also discussed.
