ABSTRACT
Anti-forensics has a wide range of application areas and purposes. The areas are as broad as our human imagination. It is similar to asking why people hack computers. The main purpose of anti-forensics is to antagonize forensics. During a digital crime examination, investigators acquire digital image of the analyzed media. A few of the main goals of the forensic process are to find the evidence, collect it, and preserve its original state. On the contrary, the goal of anti-forensics will be to circumvent this process. An alternative anti-forensic technique could be to neutralize the sources of evidence. Wearing gloves could perpetuate the collection of physical fingerprints. The success of hiding depends on the people factor. There is no guarantee that hiding the evidence will be successful. Forensic tool could be deployed to analyze file time stamps in a chronological order. Some of the traditional anti-forensic techniques may not be applicable to the mobile world.
