ABSTRACT
Having laid the foundation with algebraic representations and integer programming, this provides larger optimization models including an example of warehouse site location. Leveraging the built-in numerical methods of R for generating simulated data alongside the optimization tools demonstrates opportunities for applications in other domains. Demonstrations of alternative solving engines is provided and the ease of switching between them underscores again the benefit of algebraic modeling.
