ABSTRACT
This chapter provides general considerations for euthanasia of pet fish, indicators of death, and recommended immersion and injectable euthanasia methods as per American Veterinary Medical Association Guidelines. In addition, methods and logistics for sedation and anesthesia in fish are provided including stages of anesthesia and sedation and common drugs used for these purposes.
