ABSTRACT
Call for Democratization of AI is main theme of the Chapter. The chapter starts with the perennial issue in democratizing the artificial intelligence models – “the lack of Data” from the World’s most important and largest employer, the agriculture industry and data from developing economies. The need for capturing the data and the development of Compute systems that enable the World Food Organization mandate to create a sustainable food future by 2050. The chapter introduces the Edge device reference architecture with engineering design characteristics of Edge device that includes AI/ML Models, Connectivity, and Hardware design characteristics.
