ABSTRACT

The Gauss-Krüger projection is a map projection widely used in surveying and mapping. Due to the manner in which zones are projected and the fact that the origin of coordinate points of each zone always start at the point of intersection of the central meridian and equator of the zone, the coordinate systems of each projection zone are independent of each other. In order to relate the neighboring zones, it is defined that the neighboring zones should overlap to some extent.
