ABSTRACT
The determination of kinetics of decomposition for biomass and Other fuels from thermal analysis data have long been a source of fascination to those working in this field. It is projected that an accurate determination of the kinetic parameters from TG data for a particular biomass material would be useful in designing process plants. However, to the best of our knowledge, the existing kinetic parameters determined from this technique have never been applied because there was such a scatter in kinetic data that no one knew which set of data appropriately explains the reaction process.
