ABSTRACT

This chapter describes ORACLS- subroutines which solve various algebraic equations occurring in linear system theory, find eigenvalues and singular values of real matrices, evaluate matrix exponentials, perform stability and controllability tests, calculate the transient response of a linear system forced by a linear state variable feedback control law, and compute the transfer matrix for a continuous linear system. Software for subroutines EIGEN, SYMPDS, GELIM, SNVDEC, and EXPADE were obtained from the Analysis and Computation Division subprogram library at the Langley Research Center.
