ABSTRACT

During the history of polarography, many advances in dc techniques have been made. Rather than discuss the techniques in chronological order of development, they are presented here in an order aimed at systematically highlighting how limitations found in conventional dc polarography (listed in Chap. 3) have been overcome. However, it is also important to note that with certain methods, advantages gained in one direction are at the expense of a loss elsewhere, and this may need to be taken into account in assessing the overall usefulness of each technique.
