ABSTRACT

7.1 NOMENCLATURE

Any periodic voltage waveform can be used to generate a technique which can be called alternating current (ac) polarography. Figure 7.1 shows well-known examples of periodic waveforms available with most function generators. In view of the essentially limitless number of possible waveforms, one of the major difficulties many authors have found in describing the method of ac polarography is to define exactly what techniques are covered by the term. For example, Fleet and Jee [1] introduce their section on ac polarography in the following way.
