16.1 We come now to one of the most important topics in infinite dimensional holomorphy. This is the investigation of various topologies on the vector space H(U;F) of all holomorphic mappings of U into F. Looking back on the theory of several complex variables, it is quite natural to consider the compact-open topology τ0which is also called the topology of uniform convergence on compact sets.
