ABSTRACT
We now face the problem of disclosing the reaction mechanism and the catalyst structure, and we hope to draw a clear picture of liquid metal catalysis at the atomic and electronic levels. Of course, the present situation regarding fundamental research on liquid metal catalysis is far from the ultimate goal, and many 75problems are still open to further study. Nevertheless, considerable progress has been made in many respects, and the purpose of this chapter is to present a review of these results.
