ABSTRACT

In the foregoing chapter, our use of the term "mixture" was confined to only one flammable gas that was mixed with air, to various extents, with resulting upper flammable (UFL) and lower flammable (LFL) limits. The air, itself, is a mixture comprising 20.9% oxygen (O2) 78.1% nitrogen (N2) 0.9% argon (A) 0.1% miscellaneous, principally carbon dioxide (CO2)
