ABSTRACT
A variation of this looked at the customer's process steps to see how products could be developed to reduce the customer's work. A staff group listed the services that they provided their customers so that the staff group could measure the effectiveness of its work. In the planning matrix, there are a number of variations that can be used. A strategic planning QFD may just focus on the first matrix. A new product development QFD can be ended when the manufacturing feasibility is determined. One team looked at better ways to obtain customer information. The customer requirements were things like safety, communications, materials, and so on. The top of the matrix looked at the manufacturing process steps. A staff group listed the services that they provided their customers so that the staff group could measure the effectiveness of its work.
