ABSTRACT

The management user makes a special search, is encouraged by the results, and requests another search. The cycle will repeat, providing better and better information that will create enthusiasm and support for the computerized safety data system. This chapter discusses special search and report techniques through the use of an example. It explains about the other ways that special searches and reports can be used in conjunction with other company reports. Once a special search has been made, there is a need to report the data to those who requested it. There are three screens with this section: The Report Definition screen, the Preprogrammed Format screen (report body), and the third screen called the Special Report Master Control screen. The screens are different in that there is only one screen in the special search function whereas there are three screens associated with the special report function.
