ABSTRACT
To solve a Diophantine equation means to solve an equation integers or occasionally in rational numbers. Such equations have been around since the dawn of time, though one of the first systematic expositions of Diophantine equations, as simply equations to solve, was due to Diophantus of Alexandria, hence the name.
