ABSTRACT
Samsung enjoys the basic strength present in all other large Korean electronics corporations, diversity. The corporate culture in LG Semicon is very similar to that in other companies in Korea and it revolves around the Corporate Group. The Daewoo Group came late to the Korean semiconductor industry Daewoo Semiconductor was established in 1984 through 50% collaboration with Northern Telecom. The visible enthusiasm of the Korean culture has allowed many areas to progress quickly, although with some setbacks along the way. Signetics Korea was established in 1966 as part of Signetics Corporation. Signetics Korea is a subcontract house for packaging and testing of integrated circuits. The Korean “giants” of electronics began operations in areas such as agriculture, construction, and chemical supply. Korean firms are now leaders in many areas of high-technology device and process development, most notably the DRAM market segment.
