ABSTRACT

Filtration experimental studies form one of the basic kinds of field investigations. The data obtained from these studies helps in determining the hydrogeological parameters of the rocks and layers. Experimental-industrial pump tests and processing of data obtained from experimental exploitation for water-supply schemes provide more conspicuous evidence. The chapter aims to acquaint the hydrogeologist with the significance of the system approach in the DGW. Determination of parameters T and a at the first stage of such pump tests might not be necessary, when the model is constructed for prognosis of the activities of the water-supply scheme. Constancy of discharge during pump tests is one of the indispensable conditions for reliable computation of parameters by any of these methods, including the graphic-analytical.
