ABSTRACT

The theory of water Inflow towards wells is used for solving three groups of practical problems: hydrodynamic calculation of well sites; choice of rational variant of water-supply works; and determination of hydrogeological parameters of layers based on filtration experimental studies. The problem of optimisation in the hydrodynamic set-up is dealt with in Sec. At present, estimation of the interlink between surface and subsurface waters during solution to the problem of rational use of water resources is presented as an optimisation problem. The solution of optimisation problems, choice of optimal variant of exploitation of one of the water-supply schemes working in the arid region of the basin of the Caspian Sea under conditions of depleted resources and changes of mineralisation in the subsurface waters are described in. The choice of optimisation of variants for working the water-supply-drainage wells in irrigation areas under conditions of piedmont valleys in Northern Caucasus is presented in.
