Q. 1. a. In Grave’s disease, uptake of 99mTc is usually uniform. b. If, after 2 years following 131I treatment for Grave’s disease the patient is still euthyroid, the incidence of subsequent development of hypothyroidism is negligible. c. A normal isotope scan excludes Grave’s disease. d. Hypothyroidism following 131I treatment of a solitary hyperfunctioning nodule is more common than in Grave’s disease. e. Low tracer uptake into the thyroid gland may occur in untreated hyperthyroidism.
