ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses selected types of flow sensors. It starts with restriction flow meters with focus on the orifice plate. It is followed by a rotameter. Next velocity based flow meters such as turbine or wire flow meter are discussed. It is continued with ultrasonic, electromagnetic and Coriolis flow meters. For each of them the principle is explained and typical ranges and accuracies are given together with advantages and drawbacks. For each sensors the correct placement is shown as well.
