ABSTRACT

This chapter handles the basic properties of sensors and dynamic systems in general. First the basics of block algebra are discussed in example connections - serial, parallel, and feedback. Next static properties such as steady state response, sensitivity and accuracy are discussed. The following part focuses on dynamic properties of dynamic systems with the explanation of transient, ramp and frequency response. The last part of this chapter focuses on the explanation of uncertainties of measurement. Type A and type B evaluation is explained with examples. At the end an example calculation for a more complicated electronic circuit is shown.
