ABSTRACT

A prediction model based on the empirical relationship, for predicting the compressive strength (MPa) of a fly ash–slag alkali-activated composite (AAC), has been developed depending on major parameters, that is, fly ash/slag ratio (by weight), alkali content (Na2O%), silica content (SiO2%), water content (water/binder ratio by weight), curing temperature (°C), and curing duration (hours). A mix design methodology considering the chemical composition of fly ash and slag and other relevant parameters has been presented.
