ABSTRACT
Popularization of soybean in the world is due to its high protein and oil content.Though, originated in China spread over the world as a profitable crop. Top producer is United States of America-Brazil, Argentina and China are also important producers. Productivity of crop in varied climatic conditions are gaining momentum as varietal improvement commenced. Yield criteria are important variables and ultimately determine the yield is controlled by environment. Hence, physiological aspects of the crop are very much important and should be accounted for better management of the soybean crop. In cultivation practice herbicide tolerant soybeans are available with some merits and demerits.
