ABSTRACT

Soybean seed germination is comparatively faster than many other seeds. Seed germination is influenced largely by environmental and abiotic stress factors. Seed germination is also influenced by endogenous and exogenous plant growth regulators. Metabolic changes during soybean seed germination is interesting and fascinating. Viability of storage soybean seed is one important aspect for uniform field germination. However, deteriorationof seed in storage is a process should be known properly. Priming of seed another easy but important method is very useful in improving viability of stored seeds which also enhance seed yield. Biochemical and metabolic changes in seed priming are also important aspects.
