ABSTRACT
This chapter provides thumbnail sketches for well-known systems engineers in the following categories:
Running large government agencies
With strong academic backgrounds
From multiple sectors
With strong business backgrounds
From specialty businesses and labs.
This is followed by explaining the short survey that was carried out and what was meant by “success”. Then, the list of seven attributes of successful systems engineers is presented, with a very brief explanation for each attribute.
