ABSTRACT

This chapter focused upon the third success attribute of the systems engineer. Aspects of curiosity are explored including the Lemelson Center at the Smithsonian. Curiosity is shown to be a natural lead-in to thinking of various types, especially systems thinking. Then, the work of Kahneman and Tversky is cited. This is followed by GroupThink and various features of the systems thinker. The fifth discipline is cited as is the systems approach.
