ABSTRACT
Our sense of perception defines our virtual existence. As we advance through the digital world, our interactions with video games and what we experience in science fiction movies come together in virtual reality (VR). With higher network speeds and stability, we can bring users closer to powerful computing clouds which ignite the VR industry, facilitate cloud VR technologies, and provide new growth for the VR industry. The ultimate goal of VR is true immersion and reproduction of all of our senses in a virtual environment by creating a digital twin of the human body and reading and writing brain waves and neural signals via brain–computer interfaces. Unlike conventional HD video services that gained popularity due to the high-resolution visuals, VR services have been accepted in the market since their emergence because of the brand new experience they bring to consumers.
